So I think it's time that I shut this blog down. I barely write in it anymore. I bought www.demarhamilton.com so I should probably utilize it. So head over there. That's where I'll post from now now on. I also promise to post more often. It's a lot easier to use. The only thing that sucks is that I don't have my twitter on there yet as well as comments. Trust me when I tell you that all of the is coming as soon as my beloved best friend/roommate Nick Scimeca designs the site for me.

I got a new phone yesterday. I seriously have waited for this thing for like 6 months. My old phone got to be so crappy. Anyways I'm stoked and can't stop playing with it.

This tour is almost over. Kinda sad that thing only thing I'll really miss is dinner time. I'm kidding I'll miss the bands too.

Kinda missing home. Can't wait to move in with Nick when I get back. It's gonna be wild.

Anyways tomorrow I have to be up at 5am. We will be on Regis and Kelly and also we will tape One Life To Live. Should be pretty interesting.

My new pony.

I got this bike today. I haven't owned a bike since I was probably 12. For some reason I thought it'd be a great idea to have a bike on tour. So a friend had his friend build me this bike. It's totally custom and all black. Murdered out as some may say. I am so stoked. Right now it's in our trailer. I hope to God it doesn't get mangled. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Pretty sweet right?

Today our record came out and which means we will begin to have the craziest time of our lives again. It's a little scary but at the same time I can't wait to do everything we're about to do. I will not sleep until Sunday I believe. It's gonna be nuts. Tomorrow we tape the Tonight Show and the next day we will play Good Morning America. Then we come to Chicago and tape something for WGN, a local TV station, and then we have a singing at the Downer's Grove Best Buy. Then we're right back on a plane that night to San Fran to play a show the next day. Kinda hard to wrap m head around all this. Anyways if you've heard our record I hope you enjoy it. We are so proud.

We've been in LA since Thursday. I haven't made the time to make a new post since I've been back in America. I have so many pictures to share. Tonight are the VMA's. I wonder how it will go. Should be fun. Anyways that's it. I'm out.

Coming To America

Right now this is all I got. I am super stoked to get back home. It has been amazing playing over here. A big thanks to these countries welcoming us with amazing support. Even Reading and Leeds. So what if you threw stuff at us. That shit was fun!

Leeds

The thing about festivals over here in Europe is that they can be very muddy. So this is a picture of me wearing what the Brits call "Wellies" or Wellington boots. They for sure came in handy. Leeds was awesome even though we got stuff thrown at us on stage. Good times. More pics to come soon from Reading. Did you know that we got to play with Metallica? It was weird.

Sigur Ros

The past couple days we played festivals with Sigur Ros. Totally a band I honestly have never gotten into but everyone always says they are amazing live. Well everyone who told me that was 100% right. It was amazing. Tried to take a good amount of pictures but they all pretty much look the same. Here you go Nick.

Natural Disaster video shoot

What about I almost forgot about the video for Natural Disaster that we just made. That's pretty ridiculous. Anyways we made a video. There were seriously like 90 people involved. We shot it in this warehouse in downtown LA and what was really messed up is that there were 90 people which most of them had to use the bathroom especially after lunch who weren't able to because all 5 bathrooms were messed up. It sucked. It was fun making the video. We worked with Shane Drake. He made our last video. Anyways I don't have many pictures but here are 3. I can't wait to see this video when it's done. We've never done anything like this before. It will be interesting to see how it comes out.

Oh yeah people got towed because they weren't supposed to park there because of the shoot. I found it entertaining. People we're getting upset which is retarded because there was a sign there for 2 days straight.

Today we're in Stockholm, Sweden. I am so exhausted. Flying from LA to London to here is crazy. I feel really confused. Sweden is pretty sweet. In my time of pure exhaustion I went out walking around the streets of Stockholm. I was hoping to find our most beloved American coffee shop Starbucks only to find out that there is no existence of Starbucks in Sweden. I couldn't at all be mad about it. I kinda made me laugh. I think its the coolest thing actually. I AM SO DELIRIOUS!

Anyways besides that nonsense its Lollapalooza weekend. So far it's pretty awesome. Im really happy that I'm home and I get to experience it. Lots of friends in town. Lots of good hangs.

Hello?

Remember me? Whats up?! Right now I am in Minnesota spending sometime with my girl. It's nice. I love summer. I feel like every place in the world rules during the summer. Patio seating at restaurants is awesome as well as all the summer fests and events that go on. No other place in the world beats Chicago in the summer though.

There are a lot of things in the works right now. One of them is that our record is finished and will be out September 23rd. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a Plain White T's record ever before. Our single "Natural Disaster" will hit radio this week I believe. I have a lot of faith in this record. I am just super excited and can't wait for people to hear it. I'm proud of everyone in the band and I know this is best record we've ever made. If no one else agrees that's ok.

I also can't get enough of that new Academy Is track "About A Girl" I think its awesome. If you haven't heard it go check it out.

Lastly I bought a new hat today that I'm stoked about.

The Kennedy Family

Yesterday the Kennedy Family invited us to the Kennedy Compound and took us sailing. Here are a few pics from the time spent with them. It was such an honor to be invited by them. Pretty crazy. Bobby Kennedy's wife Ethel hung out with us all day. How insane is that?! All of the kids were amazing and had a ton of questions. I found myself swimming in the ocean. Anyways I don't really have much else to say except how amazing of an opportunity it was to experience everything that went on yesterday. I might need to buy a sailboat sometime soon.

This is my rant.

Today I was driving and I started listening to Saves the Day - Stay What You Are. That record is so amazing. Listening to it I realized so many weird things that I guess I never realized before. It was like i was rediscovering it or something. Probably haven't listened to that record in years and it still kicked my ass. Start to finish. There's this weird thing when recording a record. For some reason you find yourself listening to the most random stuff whether it be old or new or whatever. Today listening to that record inspired me again and also made me think about our record in a different way. A better way. For some reason I wanted to listen to that record today and I'm glad I did. Anyways the whole point of this rant is that today I realized more than ever how much music has affected my life and made me who I am. I'm sure that might go for a lot of people. God forbid if you're reading this and you do not own that record you need to download it or go buy it or whatever. It will change your life.

Who needs sleep?

It's 5am here in Toronto. Im still awake. The good news is I updated my muxtape! The band news is that I'm still awake. Tomorrow we fly to London for the Give It A Name Festival. Should be cool. Paramore will probably hate on us some more. It'll be fun. I will have some pics and things coming soon. Definitely have to get some photos from Malibu up here. It's coming don't worry. Lost

As you may know Lost is filmed here in Hawaii on the Oahu island. Lost is also my favorite show and everyone in the band besides Tom's favorite show. Anyways last night we got a chance to go to dinner with a couple of the guys. Harold who plays Michael on the show came out to one of our LA shows with his wife and children before. He brought his friend Daniel who plays Jin on the show and that was pretty amazing. We sat and ate and talked about the band and Lost. We are both mutually fans of each other which is the amazing part. It's pretty cool to hang with your favorite TV stars while they are taking time to hang with you from filming your favorite show. We are all fanboys last night. It was cool.

Haircut.

For a while now Mike has been wanting to shave his head. Everytime he wants to Tom freaks out and gives him shit as you why he shouldn't. I've always thought it was a grand idea. And how that he has done it he looks a lot better. Anyways we all helped him do it and we documented the whole thing.
